Abstract

Adult Drosophila can fly, land, walk, rest, start flight again etc. They search for food, water, mates, optimal temperature, and shelter. They display elaborate courtship behavior and even fight with conspecifics; but often they just sit on the lower side of a leaf and appear to do nothing.
