Zusammenfassung

Die Plasmaemissionsspektrometrie, im allgemeinen kürzer Plasmaspektrometrie genannt, ist eine noch relativ junge Methode sowohl unter den Analysenmethoden im allgemeinen als auch unter jenen des engeren Bereiches der Spektroskopie. Obwohl die ersten Arbeiten über Plasmen schon eine lange Zeitspanne zurückliegen, erschienen systematische Untersuchungen über ihre Erzeugung und die analytische Anwendung der Plasmaanregung in der heutigen Bedeutung und Anwendungsform erst im Jahre 1964 [1–4]. Trotzdem verstrich danach noch einige Zeit, bis die eigentliche, recht stürmische Entwicklung auf diesem Gebiete einsetzte. Bis jetzt ist ein schon beachtlicher Entwicklungsstand erreicht worden, so daß mehrere kommerzielle Geräte mit Plasmaanregung zur Verfügung stehen und die Plasmaspektrometrie zunehmend im Routinebetrieb eingesetzt wird. Diese Entwicklung scheint aber noch nicht abgeschlossen zu sein, manches ist noch im Fluß, die hohe Zahl an Veröffentlichungen hält an und ist eher im Steigen begriffen. Dies ist vor allem darauf zurückzuführen, daß man die Leistungsfähigkeit dieser Analysenmethode und ihre vielversprechenden Anwendungsmöglichkeiten erkannt hat.
