Zusammenfassung
Querschnittuntersuchungen von Verhalten, Befindlichkeit und Hormonwerten im Normbereich lassen selten verläßliche Aussagen über Zusammenhänge psychologischer und hormoneller Parameter zu, v.a. aufgrund der ausgeprägten inter- und intraindividuellen Unterschiede im Hormonbefund. Sinnvolle Ansätze zur Überprüfung dieser Zusammenhänge sind somit beschränkt auf die Untersuchungen von Personen mit auffäl- ligem Hormonbefund (z.B. defizitäre Hormonproduktion) oder langfristige Studien natürlicher hormoneller Veränderungen, speziell des Menstruationszyklus und der Effekte exogen verabreichter Hormonpräparate und deren Antagonisten (Bancroft 1978).
