Antigen Report: HLA-B44

  • Conference paper

Abstract

Antigen HLA-B12 was recognized by the WHO Nomenclature Committee in 1971 [1], and its subdivision B44 in 1975 [2]. B44 occurs with a phenotype frequency of 13%-22% among Orientals, Negroes, and Caucasoids; and its association with Bw4 and allelic segregation as a B locus allele have been shown by family studies [3, 4].
