Abstract

The double-contrast approach to radiologic investigation of the gastrointestinal tract differs substantially from the single-contrast approach. These differences extend to both the performance and interpretation of these studies [1]. Many potential diagnostic pitfalls may confuse or deceive the unwary radiologist. However, with an awareness and understanding of these pitfalls, they are easily avoided.
