Zusammenfassung
Die Untersuchung des Pankreas stellt eines der wichtigsten Kapitel in der sonographischen Abklärung gastroenterologischer Krankheiten dar. Die Sonographie war bis zur Entwicklung der Computertomographie und der Kernspintomographie die einzige Methode, mit der dieses tief gelegene Organ direkt sichtbar gemacht werden konnte. Sie ist weiterhin die einzige einfache, nicht beschwerliche und auch nicht strahlenbelastende Untersuchungsmethode geblieben.
