Klinefelter’s Syndrome

Abstract

When Klinefelter et al. originally described their syndrome in 1942, they made no reference to osteoporosis. Since that time it has frequently been claimed that osteoporosis is a factor of the syndrome, but there is a shortage of hard data on the subject. It is probably true that osteoporosis is associated with hypogonadism in men (Jackson 1958), but even this association is poorly defined. In fact, osteoporosis in the male has received much less attention than osteoporosis in the female and is that much less well understood.
