Spermatological Investigations in Men with Klinefelter’s Syndrome

Klinefelter’s Syndrome

Abstract

Klinefelter’s syndrome is usually characterized by absolute infertility. Since the diagnosis is made possible by determination of positive sex chromatin and by chromosomal analysis yielding the karyotype 47,XXY, semen examination is normally neglected and limited to the verification of azoospermia. In addition, in some subjects even the collection of semen is not possible owing to ejacula-tory impotence. Therefore, little is known about the different components of the seminal plasma in Klinefelter patients.
