Angeborene Herzfehler

Zusammenfassung

Die angeborenen Herzfehler stellen den größten Anteil an Erkrankungen in der kinderkardiologischen Praxis. In letzter Zeit wurden Diagnostik und Therapie der kongenitalen Vitien im frühen Kindesalter betont. Die Neugeborenenkardiologie, die sich selbstverständlich stark von der Erwachsenenkardiologie unterscheidet, ist heute Gegenstand größten Interesses. Angeborene Herzfehler bei Kindern ab 6 Jahren dürfen den entsprechenden klinischen Bildern im Erwachsenenalter gegenübergestellt werden. Es ist jedoch nicht möglich, eine einzige Beschreibung der Charakteristika eines kongenitalen Vitiums anzugeben, die sowohl auf das Neugeborenen-, Kleinkindes-, Kindes- und Erwachsenenalter zutrifft. Dieses Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit den klinischen Erscheinungen der angeborenen Herzfehler, wie sie bei älteren Kindern oder Erwachsenen angetroffen werden. Eine Abhandlung der Neugeborenenkardiologie ist nicht Ziel dieses Buches.
