Abstract
The three chapters which follow all discuss various pollution sources which endanger the groundwater aquifers. They all concentrate on widespread sources, such as agriculture, reclaimed sewage, and animal and household waste. Unfortunately, all three describe semi-arid conditions (Israel and Southern California) and neglect industrial waste.
