Abstract

In cases of extended fronto-lateral resections of the larynx or of hemilaryngectomy a vascular pedicled flap from the thyroid gland, with the ipsilateral superior thyreoideal artery as the nourishing vessel, was used for reconstruction of the lateral laryngeal wall.
