Abstract
As early as the beginning of the 1960’s Moser had performed a method of partial laryngectomy, which was named after him. Meanwhile, I have operated on more than 70 patients applying his method in Leipzig, and, later, between 1971 and 1981, I operated on 137 patients in Erfurt by Moser’s technique in addition to preserving techniques. The technique of this partial laryngectomy includes a generous resection of the tumor, and resection of the cartilage with its perichondrium in the tumor region.
