Zusammenfassung

Zahlreiche entzündliche und degenerative Gelenkerkrankungen, Gelenkfehlbelastungen, posttraumatische Zustände, Stoffwechselstörungen, Zustände nach operativen Eingriffen an Gelenken und gelenknahe Tumoren sind mit Gelenkergüssen verbunden, d.h., die orthologische Synoviamenge z.B. in Kniegelenken von maximal 4 ml kann teilweise beträchtlich überschritten werden und Flüssigkeitsmengen bis mehrere 100 ml erreichen.Alle Gelenkaffektionen, die zu einer unterschiedlich starken Beeinträchtigung auch der Synovialis führen, können neben einer Vermehrung der Flüssigkeitsmenge auch die proteinchemische und zytologische Zusammensetzung der Synovia in der Weise verändern, daß Gelenkergußbefunde heute für folgende Gebiete diagnostisch nutzbar zu machen sind:

  1. 1.

    In jedem Falle für eine Gruppendiagnose zur Unterscheidung

    • nichtentzündlicher Gelenkerkrankungen oder anderer nichtentzündlicher Gelenkergüsse,

    • nichtbakteriell-entzündlicher Gelenkerkrankungen und

    • bakteriell-entzündlicher Gelenkerkrankungen,

  2. 2.

    für die Aktivitütsdiagnose entzündlicher Gelenkerkrankungen,

  3. 3.

    für die Beurteilung eines medikamentösen oder operativen lokalen Therapieerfolgesoder -mißerfolges (Otto et al. 1970; Häntzschel et al. 1975; Chlud u. Papis 1979; Otto et al. 1979).
