Zusammenfassung
Eingriffe am Rückenmark bieten we it weniger anästhesiologische Probleme und finden deshalb auch weniger Interesse als intrakranielle Operationen. Quantitativ spielen sie jedoch innerhalb der Neurochirurgie eine groβe Rolle. So wurden im Klinikum Steglitz der Freien Universität Berlin im Jahre 1981 exakt 1.000 neurochirurgische Operationen und davon 856 in Narkose durchgeführt. Insgesamt 346 (= 40,4 %) waren spinale Operationen in Narkose.
