Zusammenfassung

Die Speiseröhre entwickelt sich aus dern Abschnitt des Vorderdarmes, von dern sich die Lungenrinne abgeschnürt hat. Das zuerst einschichtige Epithel wird im zweiten Monat mehrschichtig und kann den Hohlraum vorübergehend ausfüllen. Es besteht z. T. aus Flimmerepithel, das später von distal nach proximal durch mehrschichtiges Plattenepithel ersetzt wird. Es können jedoch zeitlebens kleine Inseln von Flimmerepithel erhalten bleiben. In das Mesenchym einwachsende Epithelzapfen bilden die Glandulae oesophageae. Vom zweiten Keimlingsmonat ab verdichtet sich das umhüllende Mesenchym und ordnet sich zu konzentrischen Schichten. Mit dern vierten Monat formen sich Längsfalten der Schleimhaut 7.
