Zusammenfassung

Die Bezeichnung „Calcium-Antagonisten“wird seit etwa 15 Jahren für eine Gruppe von Pharmaka verwendet, deren negativ inotrope Wirkung durch Calcium aufgehoben wird. Da von diesen Stoffen der langsame Calciumeinstrom bei der Entstehung des Aktionspotentials gehemmt wird, wurde vielfach die Benennung „Hemmer des langsamen Kanals“(slow channel-blockers) vorgeschlagen (Nayler u. Poole-Wilson 1981).
