Zusammenfassung

Durch die Arbeiten von Holter in den USA (1957, 1961) wurde es möglich, ein neues Verfahren zu entwickeln, bei dem mit Hilfe eines tragbaren Magnet-bandgerätes das EKG über viele Stunden gespeichert werden kann. Dies ermöglicht z.B. bei einer 24-h-Aufnahme die Beurteilung von etwa 100000 Herzcyclen. Die Aufzeichnung kann 30–240mal schneller wiedergegeben werden. Auch im deutschen Schrifttum erschienen schon in den 60er Jahren eine Reihe von Arbeiten, in denen über die Anwendung des Langzeitspeicher-EKG bei Gesunden und Kranken berichtet wurde (Hillebrecht u. Lemmerz 1965; Schmidt 1965; Matzdorff u. Schmidt 1966; Roskamm etal. 1966, 1967, 1968; Weidemann et al. 1967, 1968; Zapfe u. Hatano 1967; Lönne et al. 1968; Zapfe 1969 u.a.).
