Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff der geburtshilflichen Eingriffe soll hier auf die operativen vaginalen und abdominalen Entbindungen begrenzt werden. Jeder dieser Eingriffe weist spezielle mütterliche und kindliche Risiken auf, die eine differenzierte Betrachtungsweise erfordern. Aus Gründen der Übersichtlichkeit werden 3 Themenkreise besonders besprochen, nämlich:

  1. 1.

    Das Risiko der vaginal-operativen Entbindungen durch einen Vergleich zwischen Forzepsentwicklungen und Vakuumextraktionen,

  2. 2.

    das Risiko der abdominal-operativen Entbindungen und

  3. 3.

    das Risiko nach der Erweiterung des Eingriffs im Zuge von abdominal-operativen Entbindungen.
