Zusammenfassung

Das akute schwere Lungenversagen des Erwachsenen (ARDS) ist durch die folgenden klinischen und funktionellen Symptome gekennzeichnet:
  • eine markante Hypoxämie,

  • eine schwere Dyspnoe und Polypnoe,

  • eine Erniedrigung der Compliance,

  • eine Erhöhung der pulmonal-vaskulären Resistenz,

  • bilaterale diffuse Verschattungen im Thoraxröntgenbild.
