Zusammenfassung

Die analytische Epidemiologie, d. h. die Ursachenforschung des Dickdarmkrebses ist derzeit noch fragmentarisch und voller Widersprüche. Die deskriptive Epidemiologie läßt dagegen einige gesicherte Trends erkennen. Es ist jedoch zweckmäßig, gelegentlich zwischen Kolonkrebs und Mastdarmkrebs zu differenzieren, da beide Formen nicht immer parallele Tendenzen aufweisen.
