Abstract
Epileptic seizures are a frequent symptom of intracranial space-occupying lesions (4). The reported frequency in the literature varies between 13% and about 50%. This apparent discrepancy can be explained by the different composition of different series with regard to the patient’s age, tumor histology and location (4). The most frequently encountered finding in patients with symptomatic seizures is a primary brain tumor: at the top of the list oligodendrogliomas, astrocytomas and meningiomas — at the bottom glioblastomas.
