Abstract

Somatomedin and factors of MW < 1000 can be used in cell culture replacing fetal calf serum (FCS) or human plasma. The optimal effects were obtained with the simultaneous use of these two preparations. However when somatomedins are used, the optimal conditions must be determined because at high concentrations they inhibit cell cultures.
