Abstract

Problem study 1 serves as the context for a modelling framework which creates and makes use of a hierarchical, fuzzy system. It is demonstrated that multigoal situations can be formulated in that framework, and it is discussed how traditional OR- models could be made part of the system. It is shown how the framework applies to PS1, and it is discussed what kind of models would be needed for solving or resolving the problem of PS1.
