Zusammenfassung
Der Vergleich der zerebralen Sonographie mit der Computertomographie und pathologisch-anatomischen Befunden verstorbener Neugeborener zeigt eine exzellente Übereinstimmung hinsichtlich Aussagefähigkeit und Treffsicherheit bei intraparenchymatösen und intraventrikulären Blutungen [5, 7, 8, 11, 12]. Dies war die Voraussetzung dafür, daß die wesentlich risikoärmere zerebrale Sonographie die computertomographische Untersuchung des Schädels in der Primärdiagnostik ablösen konnte. Die Untersuchung in standardisierten Schnittebenen erlaubt eine Differenzierung verschiedener Blutungsformen nach sonographischen Kriterien. Die Unterscheidung verschiedener Blutungstypen und die morphometrische Verlaufs-untersuchung beeinflussen wesentlich das weitere diagnostische und therapeutische Vorgehen.
