Die chirurgische Behandlung der Peritonitis

Zusammenfassung

Das Problem antiseptischer Maßnahmen bei Bauchoperationen ist alt. Schon vor gut 100 Jahren stellte Mikulicz [25] in einer Abhandlung über die Anwendung der Antisepsis bei Laparotomien fest, daß ein „Korrektionsmittel“ etwaiger Fehler der Antisepsis bei peritonealen Eingriffen fehlt. Er wies darauf hin, daß die vorhandenen „kräftigen antiseptischen Lösungen“ wie z. B. Karbolsäure und Quecksilberchlorid (1889) wahrscheinlich zu einer Intoxikation des Patienten führen würden.
