Zusammenfassung

Das Kardiakarzinom ist i. allg. ein Adenokarzinom, das seinen Ursprung in den Drüsen der Kardiaschleimhaut hat und im Wachstumsverhalten den Funduskarzinomen des Magens ähnelt. Abzugrenzen sind Plattenepithelkarzinome des distalen Ösophagus, die von oben in die Kardia einwachsen. Eine Sonderform stellt das Adenokarzinom im Endobrachyösophagus dar: eine Spätfolge der chronischen Refluxkrankheit. Dieser Tumortyp geht vom Zylinderepithel des Endobrachyösophagus aus und ist mehr den distalen Ösophagustumoren zuzuordnen.
