Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit Diabetes mellitus weisen eine erhöhte Inzidenz an Angina pectoris und Hypertonie auf. Daher kann häufig die Behandlung mit β-Adrenozeptoren-Blockem in Betracht gezogen werden. In Tabelle 1 sind verschiedene wichtige Aspekte aufgeführt, die allerdings beim Diabetes mellitus hinsichtlich der adrenergen Kontrolle berücksichtigt werden müssen. Die vorliegende Übersicht beschäftigt sich in erster Linie mit dem Einfluß der β-Blocker auf die normale hypoglykämische Reaktion und mit dem Effekt dieser Medikamente auf die Ketogenese während der Verschlechterung der Diabetes-Einstellung. Die adrenerge Steuerung der Insulinfreisetzung und der Einfluß der β-Blocker auf die Diabetes-Einstellung werden im Beitrag von Björntorp u. Holm ausführlicher behandelt.
