Zusammenfassung

Somatostatin hemmt neben dem Wachstumshormon auch die Freisetzung zahlreicher Hormone des Gastrointestinaltraktes, insbesondere wird die Enzymaktivität der Pankreasfermente herabgesetzt und die Sekretmenge reduziert (1, 2). Mit wechselndem Erfolg wurde Somatostatin bereits am Menschen zur Fistelbehandlung eingesetzt (3, 4, 5).
