Zusammenfassung

Peritoneal- sowie pericardiale Ergüsse gehören zu den relativ häufigen Komplikationen der malignen Erkrankungen in fortgeschrittenen Stadien. Sie können durchaus auch in bestimmten Situationen Ausdruck eines lokalen Tumorgeschehens — kontinuierliches Wachstum eines Lymphoms oder Carcinoms — sein. Ferner können die Körperhöhlenergüsse auch durch die Kompression der Lymphabflußwege oder größere Venen entstehen.
