Summary
The meaning of logistics is actually discussed by a lot of experts. They are common in thinking of logistics as a systems approach of material flow with technical, economical and informational aspects. Applications of OR in logistics show, that many problems can be solved efficiently by use of simulation, linear programming, graph-theoretical and heuristic methods. A better publication of special cases can support the use of OR in solving practical decision problems of logistics.
