Zusammenfassung
Seit der Einführung hochauflösender Computertomographiegeräte und der Möglichkeit, 2- oder 4 mm-Schichten anzufertigen, hat die spinale CT-Untersuchung schnell an Bedeutung gewonnen. Eine weitere Verbesserung erbrachte das Sector-scanning, bei dem aus den gerechneten Rohdaten ein vergrößertes Bild angefertigt wird, das eine räumliche Auflösung von etwa 1 mm erreicht (Risius et al, 1982). Dieses Verfahren ist heute allgemein verbreitet und es ermöglicht, die Vorteile der Computertomographie, die gleichzeitige Darstellung knöcherner und Weichteilstrukturen auf einem Bild, voll auszunutzen.
