Reaktionsdauer bei Kraftfahrern

Zusammenfassung

Die Untersuchung von Verkehrsunfällen zeigt, daß die Reaktionsdauer eines Kraftfahrers neben der persönlichen Leistungsfähigkeit sehr wesentlich von der konkreten Verkehrssituation abhängt. Auch fahrzeugspezifische Größen haben Einfluß auf die Reaktionsdauer. Als Mittelwert für die Reaktionsdauer kann ein Wert von 1,0 s angesehen werden; Abweichungen von ± 0,25 s sind als normale Toleranzspanne anzusehen; in Ausnahmefällen können die Abweichungen vom Mittelwert sowohl nach oben als auch nach unten hin mehr als 0,5 s betragen. Wahlreaktionen verlängern die Reaktionsdauer. Die Reaktionsgüte wird i. allg. der Reaktionsschnelligkeit untergeordnet.

The investigation of traffic accidents shows that the reaction time of a car driver depends not only on personal efficiency but mainly on the actual traffic situation. Moreover, specific dimensions of the car influence the reaction time. A value of 1,0 s can be taken to be the mean value of the reaction time; deviations of ± 0,25 s are a normal tolerance ränge; in exceptional cases deviations above or below the mean value may amount to more than 0,5 s. A choice of reactions prolongs the reaction time. The reaction efficiency is generally subordinate to the reaction speed.
