Zusammenfassung

Unter spinalen Notfällen verstehen wir akute Erkrankungen bzw. Verletzungen des Rückenmarks und der Wirbelsäule, aber auch plötzlich evident werdende Funktionsstörungen dieser Organe und der Spinalnervenwurzeln infolge vorbestehender, bis dahin latenter Erkrankungen. Spinale Notfälle sind relativ selten, aber oft hochdramatisch.
