Zusammenfassung

Die eosinophile Gastroenteritis ist ein ziemlich seltenes, manchmal nicht erkanntes Krankheitsbild, charakterisiert durch chronische rezidivierende Bauchbeschwerden zusammen mit einer eosinophilen Infiltration der Darmwand, ohne daß dafür Parasiten, eine Vaskulitis oder Neubildungen verantwortlich gemacht werden können. Mock (zit. nach Salmon u. Paulley 1967) beschreibt als erster eosinophile Pylorusläsionen in einer Diskussion über infektiöse Granulome. Die erste klinische Beschreibung des Krankheitsbilds verdanken wir Kayser, der 1937 3 Fälle von eosinophile Gastroenteritis mit Allergie (Nahrungsmittelallergie gegen Zwiebeln und Medikamentenallergie gegen Neosalvarsan) publizierte. Eine weitere Präzisierung von eosinophilen Granulomen verdanken wir Pössner und Văněk (1946). Seit 1937 sind weniger als 200 Fälle beschrieben. Glücklicherweise denkt man heute eher als früher an diese Krankheit in der Differentialdiagnose, womit oft unnötiges Operieren vermieden wird.
