Kurzfassung

Die Arbeit weist auf die Serie von internationalen Standards der Informationstechnologie hin, die in Kürze in die Verabschiedungsphase gehen sollen, konkretisiert die dazugehörigen Zeitvorstellungen und erklärt die organisatorische Ursache für diese rege Standardisierungsaktivität. Sie beschränkt sich dabei auf die beiden derzeit wohl virulentesten Bereiche, die neuen Kommunikationstechnologien und die neuen Texttechnologien. In ihrem Schlußteil erläutert sie zunächst die Wechselwirkungen zwischen den Standardisierungsaktivitäten in beiden Bereichen und weist auf einige ökonomische und technische Merkmale dieser schnellen Entwicklung hin; besonderes Gewicht legt sie schließlich auf die Klärung der grundsätzlichen Perspektiven dieser Entwicklung.

Die Arbeit entstand im Rahmen der beiden folgenden, vom BMFT geförderten Projekte: TK 050207: “Standardisiertes Systemmanagement in Offenen Kommunikationssystemen” und FKZ 0830235: “RSPL-Projekt”.
