Zusammenfassung

Definition: Die Arthropathia urica ist ein Teil der klinischen Manifestationen der Gicht, die ihrerseits die Folge einer Hyperurikämie, d.h. einer Erhöhung der Harnsäurekonzentration in den Extrazellulärräumen des Organismus ist. Die Arthropathia urica kommt in zwei Formen vor, einer akuten (Gichtanfall) und einer chronischen Form (chronische Gichtarthritis). Die begriffliche Abtrennung der Gelenksymptomatik durch den Terminus Arthropathia urica aus dem Krankheitsbild der Gicht entspricht einer Klassifikation der Erkrankungen des Bewegungsapparates, welcher der heute gültige symptomatologische Rheumabegriff zugrunde liegt (Arbeitsgemeinschaft „Klassifikation und Nomenklatur 1971/75“ der Dtsch. Ges. f. Rheumatologie (1978)).
