Zusammenfassung

Obwohl Ediacara nicht in Europa hegt, soll diese „Fossillagerstätte“ hier besprochen werden, da die dort gefundenen Fossilien eine sehr wichtige Etappe der Entwicklung des Lebens auf der Erde dokumentieren. Nach, unserer heutigen Kenntnis entspricht Ediacara dem ältesten Biotop einer Tierpopulation.
