Zusammenfassung

Albert versuchte 1954 erstmalig eine physiologische Korrektur der Transposition der großen Gefäße (TGA), indem er im Tierexperiment den venösen Zufluß transponierte [3]. 1959 berichtete Senning über eine erfolgreiche intraatriale Korrektur unter Verwendung des Vorhofseptums und der Vorhofwand [64]. Schumacker beschrieb 1961 ein Operationsverfahren mit einem zweischenkligen Vorhoflappen. 1964 führte Mustard die intraatriale Umleitungsoperation mit Perikard in die Klinik ein [47]. In den folgenden Jahren sollte dieses Verfahren breite klinische Anwendung finden. In den späten 70er Jahren wandte man sich jedoch wieder vermehrt der Senningschen Operation zu in der Hoffnung, einige der Spätkomplikationen der Mustard-Operation reduzieren oder ganz vermeiden zu können [10, 20, 50, 53].
