Zusammenfassung

Nach einem Herzinfarkt entwickelt sich bei 10–38% der Patienten ein Aneurysma der linken Herzkammer [1, 7, 35]. Seit Cooleys Bericht über eine Aneurysmaresektion mit Hilfe der Herz-Lungen-Maschine aus dem Jahre 1958 [8] hat diese Operation einen festen Platz in der Behandlung des Herzwandaneurysmas, wenn es zu Herzinsuffizienz, therapierefraktären Rhythmusstörungen oder peripheren Embolien geführt hat. Die Resektion eines Herzwandaneurysmas in Verbindung mit der Koronarrevaskularisation ist ebenfalls ein heute allgemein üblicher Eingriff.
