Abstract

Since 1972, metrizamide (Amipaque) has been extensively used for the opacification of perimedullary and pericerebral spaces, and there is a general agreement that the neurotoxicity of this new contrast medium (CM) is definitely lower than that of previous ionic iodinated compounds.
