Abstract
We studied the effects of contrast media used in radiology, in particular metrizamide (Amipaque). This new water-soluble, nonionic contrast medium is used in neuroradiology for opacifying the subarachnoid spaces; it may, in some cases, be responsible for side effects. We thought it would be interesting to study the cell reactions to this contrast medium in order to determine its direct toxicity.
