Zusammenfassung
Der intrauterine Gasaustausch erfolgt in der Plazenta und wird weitgehend bestimmt von der Diffusionsstrecke zwisehen mütterlichem und fetalem Blutstrom, von der Gasdruckdifferenz und von den mütterlichen und fetalen Durchblutungsgrößen. Die Gasdruckdifferenz wird für Sauerstoff wesentlich durch die höhere O2-Kapazität und die höhere O2-Affinität des fetalen Blutes, verglichen mit dem Blut der Schwangeren, aufrechterhalten. Für Kohlendioxyd wird die Gasdruckdifferenz v.a. durch die Hyperventilation der Schwangeren gewährleistet, begünstigt vom CDH-Effekt (Christiansen- Douglas-Haldane-Effekt: Die Bindungsfähigkeit des Blutes für CO2 nimmt mit der O2-Beladung ab).
