Zusammenfassung

Die Pneumokokkenpneumonie ist eine meist akut verlaufende Entzündung des Lungenparenchyms und der intrathorakalen Atemwege. Klassische Manifestationsform ist die Lobär- oder Segmentpneumonie (s. Abb. 1, Abschn. 8.2). Sie kann jedoch auch als Bronchopneumonie auftreten, insbesondere im jüngeren Säuglingsalter.
