Zusammenfassung

Zusammen mit dem Schnupfen, der Atemnot und der Zyanose steht der Husten in der Reihe der Kardinalsymptome respiratorischer Erkrankungen. Aufgabe und Ziel des Hustens ist die Eliminierung des entzündungsbedingt vermehrten Schleimes: Herauspressen des peripheren Schleimes aus den kleineren Bronchialästen in die großen Bronchien und Heraussehleudern des zentralen Schleimes aus Bronchien und Trachea in den Rachen-Mund-Bereich.
