Abstract
The contribution of the radiologist to the investigation of muscle diseases has so far been rather limited, although some radiological and radioisotope procedures for examination of muscle have been available for many years [1–5]. Even though CT scanning is put to extensive use for the examination of almost every part of the body, only a few reports have described CT of the musculoskeletal system and myopathies [6–9].
