Zusammenfassung

Dünn- und Dickdarm beanspruchen etwa 90% der Länge des Intestinaltrakts und 95% der epithelialen Oberfläche. Demgegenüber ist die Erkrankungshäufigkeit dysproportional. Dies gilt im besonderen Maße für das Symptom Blutung. Ätiologisch bietet sich ein breites Spektrum möglicher Ursachen. Angesichts der geringen absoluten Häufigkeit der intestinalen Blutung sind einige seltenere Ursachen in der täglichen Praxis ausgesprochene Raritäten. Sie seien hier nur der Vollständigkeit halber erwähnt.
