Zusammenfassung

Die Ulcustherapie verfolgt das Ziel, das gestörte Gleichgewicht zwischen defensiven und aggressiven Faktoren zugunsten der defensiven Faktoren zu verschieben. Dabei kann die Hemmung der aggressiven Elemente ebenso Erfolg haben wie die Förderung der defensiven (Abb. 1). Die Hemmung der aggressiven Faktoren ist gleichbedeutend mit einer Verminderung der Wasserstoffionen- und/oder Pepsinkonzentration in der Umgebung des Geschwürs — sei es durch Hemmung der Sekretion oder durch Inaktivierung des Sekrets. Die an der Belegzelle angreifenden Histaminantagonisten werden in Kap. 15 und die Antacida in Kap. 14 besprochen. Im folgenden wird auf die übrigen Sekretionshemmer eingegangen.
