Dieses 10 Hunde umfassende Kollektiv (mittleres Körpergewicht 18,9 ± 1,8 kg) wird im folgenden als Gruppe I bezeichnet. 2 Tiere starben während Beatmung mit PEEP 20, so daß die Mittelwerte für diese und die letzte Phase (PEEP 0) nur auf je 8 Einzelwerten beruhen.
