Zusammenfassung

In seinen Memoiren schreibt der Kliniker Adolf STRÜMPELL: “Ich habe es oft beobachtet, daß junge Assistenten ihre anfängliche Unsicherheit und Unerfahrenheit unter dem Deckmantel besonderer Strenge gegenüber den Kranken … zu verbergen suchen” (STRÜMPELL 1974). Ist diese Beobachtung zeitspezifisch oder verallgemeinerungsfähig? Sind es nur die jungen Ärzte, die auf Unsicherheit mit “Strenge” reagieren? Was ist darunter zu verstehen und wie ist der Mechanismus zu erklären?

Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt eine gekürzte und leicht überarbeitete Fassung des Kapitels 4.5 “Visiten bei Schwerkranken — Ansätze zu einer Theorie asymmetrischer Verbalhandlungen” aus meinem Buch “Arbeit und Interaktion im Krankenhaus”, F. Enke Verlag, Stuttgart, 1978, S. 106–138 dar
