Zusammenfassung
Chirurgischer Eingriff und die hierfür erforderliche Narkose stellen eine engverknüpfte und nicht zu trennende Einheit dar, wenngleich sie jeweils mit spezifischen pathogenetischen Faktoren ihren Einfluß auf die Entwicklung der postoperativen Ateminsuffizienz nehmen. Mag der Verlauf der unmittelbaren postnarkotischen Phase im wesentlichen durch die Pharmakologie des ausgewählten Narkoseverfahrens bestimmt werden, so kommt bereits in der frühen postoperativen Phase den Auswirkungen der chirurgischen Intervention selbst steigende Bedeutung in der Beeinträchtigung der pulmonalen Leistungsfähigkeit zu.
